Found in northern Vietnam in primary broadleaved evergreen lowland forests on shale at elevations around 300 to 400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with irregularily verrucose, cylindrical tubers giving rise to an erect, slender, straight to slightly flexous, white to light gray brown stem with 1 to 2, distant, ovate, obtuse bracts and a few basal, close, small, brown scales that blooms in the on an erect, 4 to 10 flowered inflorescence with light brown, ovate, acute longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying urceolate, hardly opening, light brown qith darker nerves, sparsely warty externally flowers
