Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to sometimes branching, compressed, leafy stems carrying patent, lanceolate-ligulate, oblique, acute, cuneate below into the base leaves that blooms in the early summer on a terminal, single flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are pure white with a round spot made up of green-black dots towards the apex of the lip and a pale brown anther.
