Common Name The Plantago -Like Gomphichis

Flower Size .12" long [3 mm] long

Found in Ecuador and Junin department of Peru in montane forests as a giant sized, cold growing terrestrial with 6 to 8 basal, erect-patent, lanceolate-ligulate, acuminate, slightly narrower towards the base, glabrous, thin textured leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, strict, slender, peduncle 48" [36 cm] tall, provided with about 7, acuminate, tightly embracing, glandular sheathing bracts, rachis to about 12" [30 cm] long, loosely many flwoered inflorescence with erect, elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying externally shortly glandular-pubescent flowers
