Found in Cundinamarca department of Colombia at elevations around 3250 meters as a miniature to just small sized, sized, cold growing terrestrial with 4, basal, rosulate, sessile, linear-lanceolate to linear, acute, leaves that blooms in the later fall on an erect, terminal, very delicate, peduncle 4.42" [11.5 cm] long, glabrous below, glandular above stem enveloped in the upper part by 5 cauline sheathing bracts, rachis .8 to 1.4" [2 to 3.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolAte, acute, densely glandular, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying very small flowers with a densely pubescent on the dorsal apex to the lip.
" Gomphichis crassilabia and Gomphichis valida are both related to G renziana but it differs from both by having a dense pubescence on the dorsal apex of the lip and oblong and rounded apically petals. G renziana appears to be one of the smallest representatives of the genus." Szlachetko & Kolanowska 2019
