Common Name The Juruena Habenaria [A river in Amazonas state of Brazil]

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Goias, DF, Matto Grosso , Minas Gerais, and Tocantins states of Brazil in dry grasslands as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by imbricating, sheaths carrying oblong-lanceolate, acute, shorter below, longer above floral bracts that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, several flowered inflorescence with amplexicaul, oblong-lanceoalte, , acuminate, jut shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Very similar to H taubertiana but distinguished by the milky white petals which are longer and the fleshy flowers.
