Common Name The Luente Habenaria [an area of Zaire]

Flower Size

Found in Zaire in dambo as a medium sized terrestrial with an erect, rather delicate, glabrous stem carrying 7, gathered in the lower part of the stem, linear-lanceolate, acute, the lower spread, the upper erect, decreasing in size up the stem, the uppermost bractlike leaves that blooms on an erect, to 3.8" [9.5 cm] long, rather dense, to 25 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, shorter than the pedicellate ovary floral bracts.

Differs from others in the SECTION Pentaceras by having large bipartite petals with both lobes nearly equal in size." Szlach etal 2010
