Found in Peru and Bolivia on grassy slopes and pastures at elevations of 2300 to 2800 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect leafy stem carrying many, all along the stem, erect, ovate, amplexicaul, acuminate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 2.4" [6 cm] long, densely several flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying campanulate flowers.
