Found in Goias state of Brazil in previously burned, humid grasslands at elevations of 1100 to 1600 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, , straight to somewhat sinuous stem carrying 5 to 8, spirally alternate, linear, narrow, largest in the middle of the stem, decreasing towarsd the apex, sheathed leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, .8 to 2.4" [2 to 6 cm] long, spiral, lax, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence with elliptical, caudate, acuminate, about he same size as the ovary floral bracts and carrying resupinate, green flowers.
