Found in Zaire, Zambia and Zimbabwe in riverine forests at elevtions of 900 to 1350 meters as a medium to just large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect leafy stem carrying 8 to 12, lowermost sheath-like, the middle ones spreading, lanceolate to oblanceolate, acute to acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, terminal, 6.8 to 15.6" [17 to 39 cm] long, fairly densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, similar to the upper leaves, even the lowest ones almost equal to the ovary floral bracts and carrying suberect to spreading, green and white flowers.
