Found in Santa Cruz department of Bolivia at elevations around 1500 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terresttrial with an erect, terete, leafy styem carrying erect-patent to subereect, ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, subacute leaves grading into bracts above that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, cylindrical, 6" [15 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with erect, lanceolate, acuminate as long as the flowers floral bracts.
