Found in the Serra da Canastra in Minas Gerais state of Brazil a a terrestrial that blooms in the summer.

"Habenaria pseudoculicina is, along with Habenaria canastrensis, one of the species of Habenaria endemic to Serra da Canastra. In the general morphology of plants and flowers, H. pseudoculicina resembles H. canastrensis, differing by the length of the ovary and pedicel .48 to .6" long in the former vs. .28 to .42" (12 to 15 mm long in the former vs. 7 to 10.5 mm compr. in the latter) and the spur .32 to .46" vs .148 to .192" (8 to 11.7 mm vs. 3.7 to 4.8 mm compr.). Habenaria pseudoculicina is also similar to H. melanopoda, but differs by the characteristics cited for the latter. It is distributed in the Southeast of Brazil, endemic to the Serra da Canastra (MG). It occurs in humid clean grasslands, seasonally wet clean grasslands, and clean grasslands associated with rock field. "J.A.N.Bat., Bianch. & B.M.Carvalho 2013
