Found in northwestern Ethiopia in lush undergrowth of forests at elevations around 1200 to 1600 meters as a giant sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, leafy stem carrying oblong-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on an erect, short, densely many flowered inflorescence with longer than the flowers floral bracts.
Differs from all others in the section by the entire lip rather than three lobed and the floral bracts longer than the flowers.
