Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Peru in rocky woodlands at elevations around 1200 meters as a medium sized, cool growing lithophyte with an erect, basally sheathed, distinctly leafy above stem carrying ovate, elliptic-ovate to ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, amplexicaul below leaves that blooms in the late spring on a more or less elongate, to 6" [15 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with as long as to longer than the ovary floral bracts.
