Common Name The Tropic's Loving Habenaria

Found in humid evergreen forests near rocky outcrops at elevations of 100 to 300 meters as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with 2 tubers giving rise to fleshy, broadly ovate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, dense, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence.
Similar to H hilsenbergii but differs in the attenuateed, non-clasping stem leaves, a very different sepal and labellum shape and cilia on the costules of the sepals, ovary and fruit." Perrier 1951
