Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil as a miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with an oblong, subterranean tuber giving rise to an erect, thin, somewhat sinuous, somewhat angled, sparsely leaves stem carrying 3 to 5, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, membraneous, 3 nerved, grading smaller above leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, erect, 1.2 to 2.8" [3 to 7 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, equal to slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, erect-patent flowers
