Common Name The Shadow Loving Habenaria
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found in Minas Gerias, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Parana, and Santa Catarina states of Brazil in cloud forests as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect, stout stem enveloped completely by imbricate sheaths grading above into elliptic, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the later summer and fall on a terminal, erect, 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, 6 to 7 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, erect-patent flowers.
