Found in Meta department of Colombia in dense forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with fleshy, fasciculate roots giving rise to 8, gathered in a basal rosette, obliquely ovate-lanceolate to sagittate, acute to acuminate, thin, delicate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle to 6.4 to 6.8"" [16 to 17 cm] long, provided with 3, as long as the internodes, acuminate, adnate,. herbaceous, glabrous sheathing bracts, rachis 1.6" [4 cm] long, laxly 7 flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, herbaceous, membraneous, more than twice as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying rather small, tubular, non-resupinate, white flowers with red streaks on the petals and lip
