Common Name The Beautiful Leaved Hemipilia - In China Mei Ye She Hui Lan - In Thailand Nang ua lai, Ua bai diao

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Yunnan province of China, Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand in crevasses of limestone cliffs in hill evergreen forests, seasonal evergreen forests and bamboo thickets at elevations of 640 to 2100 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with ovoid tubers giving rise to an erect, stem carrying 1 to 2; abaxially dark greenish purple, adaxially dark green, netted with purplish brown, suborbicular to ovate, cordate to rounded basally; acute apically leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, 2 to 4.8" [5 to 9.5 cm] long, lax, more or less secund, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3, narrowly ovate, sterile bracts and ovate, acuminate floral bracts.
