Found in Vietnam in wet mossy open places on rocky outcrops in humid evergreen broad-leaved forest at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing litho-terrestrial with an underground, stoleniferous, generally glabrous, subglobular, ovoid or shortly cylindrical, pale yellowish to light brownish tuber giving rise to an ascending, oblique or erect, white at base, grassy green in distal half, with fine longitudinal papillulose ribs, provided with 3 to 4, tubular white or light greenish, obtuse or acute apex, bracts and at middle with 1 suberect to horizontally recurved, obtuse or acute apex, sessile, narrowly lanceolate, often slightly falcate, conduplicate, uniformly grassy green, tapering from wide base to obtuse apex, finely papillulose along margin, abaxially with prominent median vein cauline leaf that blooms in the late spring and earlier summer on an erect, peduncle ebracteate, grassy green, .72 to .936" [1.8 to 2.34 cm] long, rachis grassy green, .32 to .48" [.8 to 2 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with leaf-like, narrowly to broadly lanceolate, horizontally recurved, grassy green, longer than the flowers floral bracts and carrying distant, sessile, resupinate, widely opening flowers
