Found in Nepal and Arunachal Pradesh India in oak forests at elevations of 2500 to 2800 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with ovoid, globose to oblong tibers giving rise to an erect stem with 2 basal, tubular sheaths and few well-spaced near middle, linear to oblong, acuminate leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, peduncle cylindrical, with peduncle-scales 0.5–2.4 cm; rachis 2 to 7.2" [5 to 18 cm], 3.2 to 12" [8 to 30 cm] long overall, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, apex acuminate, shorter than ovary floral bracts and carrying pale green flowers
