Common Name The Cleistogamus Lepanthes [refers to the self pollinating flower]

Flower Size .04" [1 mm]

Found in Alta Verapaz department of Guatemala at elevations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, thin ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 4, hyaline lepanthiform sheaths with the margins of the brown ostium puberulent and carrying a single, apical, orbicular, green colored, tridentate apically leaf that blooms in the late winter on an erect, on the back side of the leaf, .532" [1.33 cm] long, longer than the leaf, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with brown ciliate floral bracts.
