Found in Guatemala near Coban at elevations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, filiform ramicauls enveloped by brown lepanthiform sheaths with the margins of the ostium glandular pubescent and carrying a single, apical, elliptic-oblong, purple colored, flat with a prominent midvein, tridentate apically leaf that blooms in the late summer on 1 to 2, erect, .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, subcongested, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with papery, coffee colored, glabrous floral bracts.
