Found in Antioquia department of Colombia at elevations around 2800 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing, pendant epiphyte with an occasionally branching stem with ramicauls enveloped by 2 infundibular, imbricating membraneous, hispid sheaths with cilate, dilated ostia and carrying a single, thickly coriaceous, green suffused with purple along the veins, occasionally reticulate, lanceolate, slightly incurved, pubescent, acute, attenuate below into a petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on an ascending, .06” [1.5 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a conical, membraneous, hispid, shorter than the pedicel as long as the ovary floral bract and carrying erect, resupinate flowers.

"It resembles Lepanthes dactyla, L lueri and L tridactyla in the prifurcate petals with a larger midlobe. From L dactyla it can be distinguyished by the petals witrh 2 basal lobes saimilar in size, the puberulent lip and its bifid synsepal. differs from L lueri in having lanceolate leaves, the dorsal sepal concave to subconcave with cilate margins, the petals puberulous with oblong to triangular lobes and a bifid synsepal. It can be separated from L tridactyla but the puberulous petals, the puberulous lip with rounded basal lobes and the bifid, widely ovate synsepal. Est. Dominguez & Sebastián Vieira Uribe & 2020
