Common Name Luis' Lepanthes [Guatemalan Cousin of the Author, Luis Francisco Archila current]

Found in Alta Verapaz department of Guatemala in cloud forests at elevations around 2100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with very short ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, imbricate, tubular lepanthiform sheaths with a dilated, pubescent margin ostia and carrying a single, apical, orbicular, green above, blood red beneath, tridentate apically leaf that blooms in the fall on 1 to 2, .68 to 1.28" [1.7 to 3.2 cm] long, Congested successively single, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence with a glabrous floral bract with a quill on its back.
