Found in Yunnan and southern Hainan provinces of China at elevations around 800 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing terrestrial with an elongate rhizome with .6 to 1.6" [1.5 to 4 cm] between each narrowly subcylindrical to narrowly ovoid-cylindric pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, articulate, elliptic, narrowly elliptic to oblong, papery, acuminate, contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, peduncle compressed, narrowly winged, 2.8 to 5.6" [7 to 14 cm] long, rachis .2" [.5 mm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with green, lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, shorter to as long as the ovary floral bracts
