Common Name or Meaning The Bingzhingluo Liparis [A Town in Yunnan province of China]

Found in Yunnan province of China and Myanmar in montane broadleaf evergreen forests at elevations of 2250 to 3100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial, epiphyte or lithophyte with a slender rhizome giving rise to ellipsoid, green pseudobulbs enveloped by white membraneous sheaths and carrying 2, ovate, margin wavy, lateral veins obvious, petiolatea base leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, winged, quadrate in section, rachis .16 to .68" [.4 to 1.7cm] long, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

"L. bingzhongluoensis is similar to L. nanlingensis H.Z.Tian & F.W. Xing but differs from the latter by having two transparent ridges in disc, lip with long tail and a basal longitudinally concave callus, column wings triangular."
