Found in Yunnan and Guangxi provinces of China at elevations around 500 to 1100 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with clustered, ovate to flattened ovate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblanceolate to linear-lanceolate, dark green, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, to arching, 3.6 to 7" [9 to 17.5 cm] long, 14 to 40 flowered inflorescence with needle-like floral bracts.
