Found in southern Vietnam in primary humid broadleaved evergreen montane forest on mossy dry rocks at elevations of 1400 to 1450 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing lithophyte with densely close set, narrowly ovoid to ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, oblanceolate, with prominent median vein, sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, synanthous, peduncle terete, wingless or with hardly visible wings, 3.2 to 6.8" [8 to 17 cm] long, provided with acute, sterile bracts, rachis 2.4 to 6" [6 to 15 cm] long, , 6 to 10" [15 to 25 cm] long overall, subdense, 20 to 35 flowered inflorescence with acute, narrowly triangular-lanceolate, as long as the ovary floral bracts.
