Found in southeastern New Caledonia in wet forest on rocky serpentine soil at elevations of 500 to 900 meters as a medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with very short pseudobulbs enveloped by leaf sheath bases carrying linear, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 12 to 18" [30 to 45 cm] long overall, rachis .8 to 2" " [2 to 5 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with very narrow, acute bracts.
