Found in Zulia state of Venezuela at elevations of 500 to 600 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with fasciculate, fleshy, pubescent roots giovbing rise to numerous, basal, obliquely ovate-elliptic, acute to subacuminate, canaliculate below into the distinctly, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect, terminal, delicate, peduncle to 6" [15 cm] long, provided with several sheathing bracts, sparsely glandular, rachis to 6" [15 cm] long, loosely spicate, to 30 flowered inflorescence with broadly lanceolate, decreasing in size upwards, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, rather sparsely externally pubescent, small, greenish flowers
