Common Name The 2-Heart Shaped Mesadenella [refers to the double heart shaped hypochile of the lip]

Found in Putumayo department of Colombia at elevations of 500 to 600 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial orchid with a basal rosette of 4, narrow, obovate, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, peduncle 10" [25 cm] long, provided with 6 sheathing bracts, rachis 7.2" [18 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, densely glandular outside, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying tubular, inconspicuous, densely glandular outside flowers.
