Found in Bolivia and Brazil in often flooded, lowland Amazonian woodlands as a small to medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with an erect, terete stem carrying spreading, elliptical, apex obtuse, flat, five-nerved, basally acute, channelled, flattened, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, erect, straight, peduncle to 10.8" [27 cm] long, provided with 6 to 7, cauline sheathing bracts, rachis8 to 9" [20 to 22.5 cm] long, laxly 5 to 12 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, three times shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
Similar to Eltroplectris dalessandroi but it is a smaller plant with much smaller flowers
