Found in French Guiana, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in rain forests at elevations of 100 to 900 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing, twig epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to close set, cylindrical, compressed pseudobulbs enveloped by pairs of leafless and leaf bearing, distichous, imbricating bracts and carrying very thin, linear-oblong to oblong, acute to obtuse to obliquely bilobes and apiculate, attenuate and conduplicate below into the base leaves that blooms inn the winter and spring on lateral, pendant, racemose but rarely single branched, 4 to 10" [10 to 25 cm] long, laxly few to many flowered inflorescence with linear to linaerlanceolate, acute, slightly shorter to longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying greenish yellow to yellow, membraneous, glabrous flowers.
