Common Name or Meaning The Very Modest Odontochilus

Found in Taiwan in montane Cryptomeria forests at elevations of 1100 to 1450 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with a horizontal fleshy, pale purple, glabrous rhizome giving rise to an erect to ascending, fleshy, purplish, glabrous stem carrying 5 to 6, leafy throughout, ovate, acute, obtuse basally, chartaceous, entire to slightly wavy margins, lustrous green above, pale green beaneath, glabrous on both sides, midribed impressed above, elevated beanath, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, 1.6 to 2" [4 to 5 cm] long, white villoserarely single to 2 flowered inflorescence.
