Found in Caaguazu department of Paraguay as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial without leaves at blooming occuring in the late winter and early spring on an erect, short, peduncle 6 to 10" [15 to 25 cm] long, provided with large, strongly adpressed to the stem, the lower acute, acuminate towards the apex, glabrous sheathing bracts, rachis 2" [5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with long lanceolate, long-acuminate, membraneous, slightly shorter than the flower floral bracts and carrying whitish flowers.
