Common Name The Itatiaya Pelexia [a Mountain In southeastern Brazil]

Found in Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with 2 basal, linear-elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves and another shorter similar one below the midddle that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on a terminal, erect, peduncle 5.2 to 12" [13 to 30 cm] long, provided with 3, close, tubular, acute sheathing bracts, rachis 4" [10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with erect-spreading, lanceolate, acuminate sparsely lanuginous, as long as the flower floral bracts.
