Common Name The Very Thin Pelexia

Flower Size .5" [1.25 cm]

Found in Parana state of Brazil at elevations below 1000 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial without leaves at blooming occuring in the fall on an erect, substrict to bubflexuous, smooth, minutely pubescent towards the apex, peduncle 5.6 to 6.8" [14 to 17 cm] long, provided with 4 to 5 erect, tightly embracing, acuminate sheathing bracts, rachis to 2.4" [6 cm] long, loosely 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with, erect open, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, longer than the flowers floral bracts and carrying smaller, olive green, externally pubescecnt flowers for the section.

"Similar to Pelexia tamanduensis but differs in the slender growth, smaller flowers the lip wider in the middle with a more sharply defined anterior lobe bearing a brosd lip and the relativelymoderately longer rostellum.
