Common Name The Inflated Pelexia
Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]
Found eastern Paraguay as a medium to large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial without leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, terminal, peduncle to 16 to 28" [40 to 70 cm] long, provided with 5 to 8, imbricating, tubular, acute, inflated apically sheathing bracts, rachis 4" [10 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with triangular-linear, long-acuminate, longer than the ovary, floral bracts.
