Found eastern Paraguay as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial without leaves and an erect stem enveloped by 4, tubular, acute, inflated apically bracts and blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, terminal, to 32" [80 cm] long, rachis 4" [10 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence with longer than the ovary, triangular-linear, long-acuminate floral bracts.
