Common Name Holmboe's Platanthera [Norwegian Botanist 1900's]
Flower Size .8" [2 cm]
Found in the eastern Aegaen Islands, Cyprus, Turkey, Syria Lebanon, Israel and Jordan in scrub and pinewoods in shade at elevations up to 2000 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with 1 to 4 basal leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6 to 16" [15 to 40 cm] long, to 25 flowered inflorescence
