Found only on Mt Kinabalu in Borneo in lower montane forests in damp open areas or between boulders at elevations around 1500 to 2100 meters as a medfium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect, short stem carrying 2, unequal, elliptic-lanceolate, acute petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, lateral, peduncle to 26 cm] long, provided with a 11 or so, tubular, acuminate sheaths, rachis 4.8" [12 cm] long, simultaneously 9 or so flowered inflorescence with ovate, subacute, subcoriaceous, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
