Common Name The Rough Tongued Pleurothallis

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru without locality as a miniature sized, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicaul provided with a tubeur bract in the middle and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceopus, elliptical, obtuse t orounded apically, cuneate below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms on a loose, distichous, subtended by a spathe arising from an annulus, peduncle .8" [2 cm] long, 2.8 t0 4" [7 to 10 cm] long, simultaneously several flowered inflorecence with as long to just longer than the pedicel floral bracts and carrying yellow, glabrous externally, shortly pubescent within, subcarinate sepals and transluscent yellow petals.

"P asperlinguis is separated by its broad, non-acuminate sepals, the broadly obtuse petals two thirds as long as the spals, and a small lip half the length of the petals, The lip is narrowly obovate with the disc shallowly concave between a pair of calli above the middle that merge into a spiculate-verrucose callus near the apical margin."
