Common Name The Second Werner's Pleurothallis [Dr Florian Werner German orchid Collector in Ecuador current]

Found in Zamora-Chinchipe province of Ecuador at elevations around 1000 meters as a mii-miniature to just small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, suberect to pendent ramicauls enveloped by 2, below the middle, close, ribbed tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, more or less pendent, coriaceous, narrowly linear, acute, narrowing below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring on a pendent, arising througha reclining spathe at the bease of the leaf, peduncle less than .4" [1 cm] long, rachis .8"{ [2 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with as long or longer than the pedicel floral bracts.

Characterized by the densely caespitose, slender ramicauls with narrowly linear leaves that eventually become pendent and a short, loose, raceme of 1 to 3 small, white flowers. The dorsal sepal is erect, triangular and acute, and the lateral sepals are connate inot an ovate synsepal, while narrowly linear petals protrude on either side. The lip is simply ovate and acute."
