Common Name or Meaning Hawkins' Pleurothallis [American collector of the type species 1900’s]

Found in Comayagua department of Honduras at elevations around 1900 meters as a small sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped below the middle by a tubular sheaths and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, erct, coriaceous, narrowly ovate, acute, sessile, cordate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a from within the reclining spathe .44 to .52” [11 to 14 mm] long,, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with a tubular, half as long as the pedicel floral bract and carrying reportedly red brown flowers.
