Common Name Krahn's Pleurothallis [German Co-collector of species current]

Found in Santa Cruz department of Bolivia at elevations around 1330 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, shortly repent epiphyte with stout, terete, ascending-erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath near the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring on a short peduncle, arising through and concealed by a spathe at the base of the leaf, single flowered inflorescence and has a tubular, shorter than the pedicel floral bract.

"Distinguished by the thick, creeping rhizome, stout ramicauls shorter than thick, elliptical leaves and a short, single flowered inflorescence. All three sepals are free and fleshy, the petals are oblong and single veined and the lip has short, broad, leateral lobes below the middle." Luer 2005
