Common Name Dodson's Pterichis [American Orchid Botanist mostly in Ecuador died 2020]

Found in Ecuador in dry low scrub vegetation at elevations of 2850 to 2950 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial a single, narrowly lanceolate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, ciliate above the basal sheath, peduncle 8 to 7.6” [19 to 20 cm] long, provided with 3 to 4, tubular, uppermost sparsely ciliate sheaths, rachis 1.6 to 4” [4 to 10 cm] long, densely ciliate, 4 to 12 flowered infdlorescence with glabrous, shorter thant he ovary floral bracts and carrying greenish-yellow flowers with green veins, petals yellow with brown veins.
