Found in southeastern Queensland and New South Wales Australia in drier eucalypt forests and Callitris woodlands and on rock outcrops at elevations of 50 to 500 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a rosette of 5 to 8, basal, ovate to oblong, shortly petiolate base leaves that are often withered at antithesis with 2 to 5, acute stem bracts that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, 8 to 20" [20 to 50 cm] long, 2 to 15 flowered inflorescence.
