Common Name The Gradually Tapering Point Pterostylis - In Australia The Sharp Greenhood - The Pointed Greenhood

Flower Size .75 to 1" [1.9 to 2.5 cm]

Found in New Guinea, New South Wales and Queensland Australia at elevations of 5 to 3600 meters in coastal forests beside streams and on hummocks in streams as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of dark green, flat to crinkled leaves that blooms on an erect, 6 to 10" [15 to 25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence occuring in the fall.
