Found in Western Australia in tall woodlands, mallee shrublands and low scrub around salt lakes and granite outcrops at elevations of 250 to 400 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial witha rosette of 6 to 12 leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 6 to 12" [15 to 30 cm] long, 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence
