Found in New South Wales Australia among shrubs and tussocks in heathy forests at elevations of 400 to 600 meters as a miniature to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rosette stem carrying 3 to 5, margins entire to crinkled leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, 4 to 14" [10 to 35 cm] long, 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence carrying 4 to 8 leaves
