Found in New South Wales Australia on slopes and ridges in drier forests st elevations of 450 to 750 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a rosette strem carrying 3 to 7 leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 4.8 to 12" [12 to 30 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence carrying 3 to 6 leaves
